Four illuminated glass sculptures will respond
to the energy usage in the school. These are the Finn Hill Family - two adults, a child, and a pet.
The story of the Finn Hill Family is a saga in sustainability where the "health" of the family is inversely related to resource and energy consumption.
With limited resources, all benefit from sharing.
As the school saves more energy, the colors and illumination of the family grow stronger. As the school consumes more, they become weaker.
This is a model of collaborative interactivity in which a sustained and unified effort can havae effects over time. Students have to collectively choose to change their energy consumption; no individual can impact the work on his or her own.
