From the moment I first saw Lee's works at the UW MFA show last year, I knew I was in the presence of a formidable artist. Since then she has caused more of a buzz here than any new artist in recent memory. Tomorrow night, Refrain -- her first solo exhibit -- opens at Lawrimore Project. Earlier today I received a most effusive press release from Scott about the show, and I have no reason to doubt the man. (I'd post it here, but I'm still holding out hope that he'll do this on his own.) Needless to say, I'm very much looking forward to the opening reception tomorrow from 6 to 9 and hope to see you all there.
